What is Curodont Repair?

It is a patented biomimetic P11-4 monomer-peptide based technology that takes the enamel matrix as its model and can regenerate enamel by mimicking the natural biological mineralization process.

Previously, if there was an area that started to show signs of decay, we would “wait and watch” and hope that improving home care and using fluoridated products would help these areas. This was not always effective. Now, with Curodont Repair we can be more proactive. Curodont Repair gives us a way to stop the decay progression and repair the area without the need for anesthetic or drilling on the tooth … thus preventing the need for a filling!

The affected area is cleaned and dried and the Curodont Repair solution is placed and allowed to sit for 5 minutes. No drilling, No needle, No pain!

What is Early Decay?

Early decay or incipient decay is areas of enamel that are showing signs of a cavity developing. These may appear as chalky white spots on the teeth or brownish stained spots. Xrays may also show signs of early decay between the teeth as a dark spot on the xray. Areas like this that have NOT broken through the enamel or show a hole in the the enamel yet can be treated with Curodont Repair. If the area has a hole or has broken through the enamel, then a filling will be needed and Curodont Repair, would not be an appropriate treatment.
